Arshdeep Singh was born on February 5, 1999, in an upper-middle-class Punjabi family. His father Darshan Singh is a retired CISF inspector, he later voluntarily retired and now works as a Chief Security Officer at DCM Ropar. His father married his mother Baljit Kaur on 6 December 1993. He has an elder brother who works in Canada, unfortunately, there is nothing present about his brother’s name on the internet. Arshdeep has been playing cricket from his childhood. At the age of 13, he participated in his school cricket tournament for the first time, and from then he was an important player for his school team. He has represented his state team in all formats including Vinoo Mankad Trophy in 2017. He bagged 19 wickets in just 5 matches for Chandigarh in an Inter-District ODI Championship for Desh Prem Azad Trophy.

The pacer was picked for the Under-19 Challenger Trophy in the India Red team in 2017 where he bowled brilliantly and took 7 wickets including a 5-wicket-haul.
ICC Under 19 Debut: In January-February 2018, he represented India in the ICC Under-19 World Cup held in New Zealand and the team end up winning the tournament after beating Australia by 8 wickets. Throughout the tournament, Arshdeep played 2 matches and after conceding 20 runs in 10 overs, he picked 3 wickets with a best of 2/10 and a brilliant economy of 2.00.
List A Debut: Later, in September 2018, Arshdeep was selected for Vijay Hazare Trophy in the Punjab List A team. He played his debut match against Himachal Pradesh at Alur on September 19 where he bowled 9.3 overs and picked 2/51 and helped Punjab with the match by 35 runs. He has played 17 List A matches and with a best of 4 wickets for 30 runs he has bagged 21 wickets. He later was selected for ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in 2019.
First Class Debut: In December 2019, he made his First-Class debut against Vidarbha at Nagpur. In the drawn match, Arsheep took 3 wickets for 65 runs after bowling 26 overs including 8 maiden overs. He has played a total of 6 first class matches and picked 21 wickets at an average of 21.71 with 5 wickets for 48 runs of best bowling figure in the match.

Arshdeep even has played 12 T20 matches apart from the Indian Premier League and has picked 12 wickets for his team.
IPL Debut: After a brilliant performance in the U-19 World Cup, he was acquired by Punjab Kings (then Kings XI Punjab) in 2019 to play IPL. He was sold out at his base price of 20 lakhs and during the season, he bagged 3 wickets in 3 matches for PBKS. He then continued working hard on his skills and added slower balls and yorkers to his archery.

Next Year, Arshdeep goes on to play 8 IPL matches and picked 9 wickets at an economy of 8.77 with the best bowling figure of 3/23. Later in 2021, with his best bowling figure of 5/32 in IPL, he played 12 matches & bagged his highest 18 wickets in an IPL season at an average of 19.00 and an economy of 8.27. Seeing his enormous growth and brilliant performances Punjab Kings retained him and in the 2022 IPL edition, Arshdeep proved the decision right by taking 10 wickets in 14 matches with just 7.70 economy.
